Joseph Makanjuola

Joseph Makanjuola is a graduate of Ryerson University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. In July 2017, he joined the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute’s
(TRI) SleepdB Team, as a Research Technician. He is currently responsible for managing data collection and analysis associated with sleep-related breathing disorders, for the design and development of novel devices. Prior to this role, Joseph designed signal processing software for the University of Guelph’s Human Health Science division. Apart from engineering, Joseph is passionate about service to his community through volunteering. His extensive volunteering experience has earned him the “TRI Volunteer of the Year 2017” award and features in Ryerson Today and Ryerson Engineering Prospectus.
